83 Dad was
an amazing man He married Mum just as
World War 2 was about to start, raised a family of 10
children in war ravaged and poverty stricken Malta
without Mum ever having done a single days work for
financial assistance... How could she with 10
children to raise? He did it all on his own! !
He took the biggest decision
of his life in 1956 when he thought that it was best for the family's
prospects to pack up everything and start a new life in
Australia. It proved to be the decision
of a wise and courageous man. !
Throughout a long, eventful
life, Dad always put Mum and his ever growing family at
the forefront of his priorities. His proudest moment was
the anniversary of 58 years of marriage and 60 years from the
time he met Mum...he was planning a huge family celebration for
their 60th anniversary at the time of his death. !
With almost all of his
10 children, their spouses, 23 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren
surrounding his bedside as he took his last breath, a great man left this
earth in the knowledge that his 83 years upon it were responsible for producing
so much life and love for so many people.
